Unlike our other MDS line and MDX line of shredding trucks that are designed for paper document destruction, the MDT-26 Shred Truck is dedicated to the destruction of hard drives and solid state drives. As more companies come to rely on uploading their confidential information onto hard drives, they are going to require a very dependable way to effectively destroy that information. That is why our MDT-26 Shred Truck is equipped with either an ST-5 shredder or an ST-8 shredder. These shredders are specifically designed for hard drive destruction as they can shred right through the drive until there’s nothing left but scraps. The ST-5 has a throughput of 750 hard drives per hour and 1,000 solid state drives per hour while the ST-8 has a throughput of 1,800 drives per hour and 2,700 solid state drives per hour.

This shred truck is equipped with either an ST-5 Shredder or an ST-8 Shredder, depending on your choice. Both of these heavy-duty shredders are engineered by our experts to provide more than sufficient destructive power. Your clients will walk away satisfied knowing that their personal and confidential information is effectively shredded to the point where it is completely unretrievable. The ST-5 Shredder is built for efficiency. It features a 5 HP electric motor with heavy-duty knives that have the strength to bite right into a drive and eat it up in under 5 seconds. For shredding hard drives, it has a throughput of 750 drives per hour, offering a security level of H-4 and a max particle size of 3.1” squared. For shredding solid state drives, it has a throughput of 1,000 drives per hour, offering a security level of E-3 and a max particle size of 0.248” squared. The ST-8 Shredder is built for high performance. It features a 15 HP electric motor with 5-14 heavy-duty 8” knives that can tear right through the drive in mere seconds. For shredding hard drives, it has a throughput of 1,800 drives per hour, offering a security level of H-4 and a max particle size of 3.1” squared.
